Performance Management

WHO

Line managers, team leaders, senior managers

At every level of leadership, it falls on managers and team leaders to support their team through challenges and growth. When someone is struggling to meet their targets or manage their workload, this course will give you the tools to structure an appropriate plan for tackling those issues.

WHY

This workshop is designed as an introduction to Performance Management.

It focuses on generic skills of managing underperformance, rather than the process of your specific internal formal performance management system. The workshop will give attendees a greater understanding of what performance management means, what successful performance management involves, and how to structure a plan which helps team members to overcome the challenges they have been facing in their role.

WHAT

Having attended this workshop learners will be able to:

  • Understand how to set people up to succeed
  • Give developmental feedback effectively
  • Understand and avoid many of the reasons for under performance
  • Use a structure to challenge under performance

HOW

This is a half-day workshop which covers a wealth of knowledge to better enable leaders and managers to perform their role successfully.

Using a combination of group work, one to one discussion and sharing personal experiences to which this learning could be applied, the knowledge is embedded with activities and practical exercises, and the day ends with a plan for actioning this new learning in the workplace beyond the workshop.
