Is Management for You?
WHO
This introduction to management is designed for anyone who is considering taking the step into management and leadership, but is unsure of what that entails, and whether it is the right step for them.
WHY
Put simply, management is the organisation and coordination of the activities of a business in order to achieve defined objectives.
Management consists of the interlocking functions of creating corporate policy and organising, planning, controlling, and directing an organisation’s resources–which includes the people employed within the organisation-in order to achieve the objectives of that policy.
This course will provide you with an opportunity to decide whether managing others is right for you. You’ll learn about some key skills and behaviours required to effectively manage others, enabling you to make an informed decision on whether management is a step you want to take.
